{loved walking the famous shopping streets in Zürich}

When I traveled abroad in high school, we visited many well-known cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, London, Rome, Venice, and Munich. While these places are incredibly fun and on many bucket lists, I wanted to make sure that while studying abroad this semester I visited some unique cities and countries as well. This weekend, my friends and I escaped dreary weather in Florence for a weekend in the Swiss Alps- and returned home with the most beautiful photographs and too much Swiss chocolate. Everyone in Switzerland was so kind. The stillness of the snowy mountains and small ski town of Interlaken provided for a beautiful landscape and amazing place to stay. I took a solo day trip to the quaint, clean Zürich on Saturday for a day of walking the famous shopping streets.

Another great weekend in the books! Unfortunately the “study” part of study abroad is catching up to all of us- I’m going to need lots of cappuccino to complete my midterms this week.

Have a great week!

I cannot believe another whirlwind of a weekend is over! Our trip to Prague, Czech Republic was one for the books. The fairytale-like city offered beautiful walking tours, unique food, and a fun nightlife. Chilly temperatures forced me to bundle up in my new scarf from Subdued (favorite store here in Florence), my J.Crew parka, and leather gloves. However, one sunny morning did give me a chance to wear my Brandy Melville t-shirt dress with tights and a cardigan!

Today marks the seventh week I have been studying in Europe. Thus far it has been an absolutely amazing experience, and I cannot even begin to think how I will ever leave.

Continue to check R+S to see where I’m jetting off to next!

Getaway | The French Riviera

If you told me a year ago that I’d be spending Valentines Day 2016 in the South of France, I would’ve told you that you were crazy. However, I am just getting back from what I think may have been the best weekend of my life. My boyfriend and I traveled to Nice, France for a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway, and the trip did not disappoint. The bright blue bay, pebbled coastline, palm trees, and adorable pastel buildings provided for unforgettable sightseeing and jaw-dropping views. We indulged in all of the classic, tasty French foods- crepes, croissants, beignets- and drank rosé wine, a Côte d’Azur essential. The weather was wonderful and I found myself in breezy tanks and light sweaters, topped off with my floppy hat and neck scarf, for morning strolls through the market and walks along the beach. I will definitely be back to the French Riviera sometime again in my life, but for now I will relish in the amazing memories from my weekend.

I hope you all have a great week!

{J.Crew blue sweater, Zara boots, Free People scarf, Urban Outfitters fedora}

As a self-proclaimed color enthusiast, I always make sure to keep up with the Pantone Color of the Year and how it affects the fashion industry. I was very pleased when this year’s colors, Serenity and Rose Quartz, were announced. The feminine, pastel shades have been very popular for the past year, and I am especially fond of Serenity, a beautiful light blue hue that I’ve actually based my recent Instagram theme on.

I purchased this soft blue J.Crew sweater over the summer and love that way it can be worn throughout different seasons. For a rainy winter day yesterday, I played up the classic prep sweater with my Zara snakeskin boots, cream Free People scarf, Urban Outfitters black fedora for a unique look to spice up my Monday here in Florence. I also wore the sweater over the summer to an evening beach cookout, pairing it jeans and sandals for a more casual feel.

Have a chic week!

I am seriously obsessing over my new Nordstrom lace-up flats! They are extremely comfortable and totally chic, and some warmer weather in Florence today allowed me to pair them with my boyfriend jeans and a simple top for a day full of classes. I love finding garments that easily spruce up an outfit!

Have a great Tuesday!

{view of Rome from the Vatican}

While many of my weekends at school last semester were spent relaxing after a busy week, my weekends so far in Italy have been absolutely jam-packed with sightseeing, touring museums, and exploring Italian cities. This is not me complaining- I have loved every second of wanderlust that has occurred while studying abroad. This weekend, my friends and I walked over 30 miles in three days while exploring the huge city of Rome! It amazed me how lively the city was, which contrasted the ancient- but beautiful- ruins scattered throughout the streets. Nevertheless, it was an amazing weekend trip and I truly felt like I saw the entire city! I was very happy to come home to Florence Sunday night and recoup with a face mask, tea, and of course, Pinterest.

Have a great week!
