In my opinion, there is nothing more perfect than a day full of pampering and relaxing. It is important to occasionally take a day and not plan anything, and just do things you enjoy that can help you relax. As a person who sometimes lets stress overtake life, I was in desperate need of a day to let my mind relax last week. I took a mid-week break to get a manicure-pedicure, drink iced coffee, and go on a little shopping spree, which certainly did the trick for me. However, there are tons of other things you can do take a mid-week break and give yourself a boost of happiness. Do yoga in a nearby park, paint watercolors, take yourself out to a nice brunch, buy a new pair of shoes, make a new craft for your room, or bake cookies. It can be as simple as dressing in your favorite outfit and spending the morning at a coffee shop instead of laying in bed that can help you escape your ordinary routine and keep life exciting. Taking joy in the little things you enjoy will give you a new outlook on life, and certainly brighten your day.
